Verse 196: Intentions slip out
196. Intentions slip out
மாரிக்கு முன்னே மணக்கும் புழுதிபோல்சோரும் மறைத்த குறிப்பு
maarikku munne manakkum puzhudhipolsorum maraitha kurippu
As dust breathes out its scent before the rain, a hidden intent slips out.
Tamil kurippu means both ‘intent’ and ‘sign’: what slips out may be the purpose itself or its telltale signal.
