1216. Trouble starts unseen

முகம்மாறும் முன்னே மனம்மாறும் வீட்டில்புகைவரும் முன்னே நெருப்பு

The heart turns before the face does; in a house, the fire is there before the smoke rises.

1217. The resemblance we reject

தந்தைபோல் ஆகேன் எனமுழங்கித் தன்குரலில்தந்தையைக் கேட்கும் திகைப்பு

1218. Following familiar ways

நீர்ப்பாய்ச்சும் தந்தை குனிவறிவான் மைந்தனுமேநீர்ப்பாய்ச்சும் அக்குனிவின் கீழ்

The father watering the field knows that stoop; the son knows it too, watering in that same stoop.
